At a moment when The Nationsl Movement of Catholic Students (NMCS) is anticipating to be turning 30 years uniting students through Christ,Masvingo Region witnessed the movement (NMCS) hosting a succesiful tree planting day in December 2019 in the presence of the Regional President “Lawrence Svova”.
The historical event was done on the 30th of December 2019.
Also present was the Masvingo Regional Organising Secretary “Martha” famously known as Spona, who could not hide her joy as she was by the NMCS News Crew remarking , “…the day was a success and hopefully the same way we have sown trees here today,we shall do the same in our good deeds”.
The members present on the day applauded Nyaradzo Group for providing seven trees and the Organising Secretary was dis-heartened by the poor attendence by fellow NMCS Members from Masvingo Region probably because most students had closed schools and had gone for their festive holidays.
As if that was not enough, the the Masvingo Regional Chaplin Fr Mahefu graced the event and also sponsored the purchase of other trees,as well as leading the tree planting convoy to the ZIMCARE TRUST and shared a few unforgettable moments with them.
The day then ended at the Church where all the members present the went and reflected on the events of the day as well as a performance appraisal of the NMCS Leadership of Masvingo Region.
